Adobe Illustrator for Apparel Designers
In this course, I take students through the basics of using Adobe Illustrator, all the way through creating basic technical flats and detail sketches. We focus on efficient use of Illustrator tools, print creation, color ups, mood boards, and and introduction to tech packs.

Concept and Development

In this course, I take my students through the design process from initial ideation, seasonal trend and color research, and initial idea sketches through to creating a completed line and visual line plan, ready for production. We talk through construction, fabrication, and creating a cohesive line. Through the term, we work as a class "creation team" to provide feedback and help each designer revise their line.

Tech Packs and Flats
In this course, I expand on the learnings from Adobe Illustrator and create much more technically complex flats and detail sketches. We focus on overall tech pack creation including sketches, specs, how to measure properly, building a BOM, costing, graphic placement schematics, and more.
